Både idag och igår har jag spenderat dagen på en av skolorna här i Moshi – Valley View Primary & Secondary School. Jag följde med Charlotte och fick vara med barnen som gick i tredje klass. På dagens schema stod det matte, engelska, geografi, naturvetenskap och swahili.
Skolorna här skiljer sig väldigt mycket från Sverige. De är super duktiga och har en otrolig disciplin, inga barn springer runt leker mer än på rasterna och inga elever sitter pratar med varandra mer än när de hjälper varandra med uppgifter. Men resurserna är få och de barn som egentligen skulle behöva extra hjälp har inte möjlighet att få den, barnen sitter i träbänkar, har skoluniformer och använder griffeltavla. Aga är också något som ofta förekommer – speciellt om barnen svarar fel på frågor eller på andra sätt varit olydiga och jag får ont i magen bara av tanken av att det är så för att det är så långt ifrån vad jag tror på, för mig är det ju så himla fel.
